TTAC

The mission of Virginia’s Training & Technical Assistance Centers (TTACs) is to improve educational opportunities and contribute to the success of children and youth with disabilities (birth-22 years). The Centers provide high quality professional development and ongoing technical assistance to respond to local, regional and state needs. TTAC services increase the capacity of schools, school personnel, service providers and families to meet the needs of families and youth.
The Virginia Department of Education’s TTACs provide professional development and support designed to assist schools in addressing accountability and improvement goals for students with disabilities.
Other TTAC services include:
  • consultation
  • information services
  • linking and networking resources together
  • lending library of multimedia resources and technology
  • presentations about TTAC services
  • referral to other services
  • workshops
Visit their website at http://ru.ttacconnect.org
The TTAC at Radford University serves public schools, teachers, students and parents of Southwest Virginia through assistance that brings about systematic change in the way schools serve children and youth. TTAC services are provided primarily through embedded professional development.
